Samsung Galaxy Z Fold7 and Flip7 to run One UI 8 out of the box
Briefly

Samsung's handling of the One UI 7 update faced criticism, with users waiting over six months for the stable version following the release of Android 15. In response, rumors suggest the company plans to enhance its release strategy with One UI 8, launching it with the Galaxy Z Fold7 and Z Flip7, expected in late July to early August. This approach is unexpected, as Samsung typically offers incremental upgrades. If successful, it could result in earlier software availability for Galaxy S24 and S25 series devices.
According to the rumor, Samsung is planning to launch its Galaxy Z Fold7 and Z Flip7 phones with One UI 8 on board, based on Android 16. Google typically releases the annual Android upgrade in the second half of the year, and we expect the Galaxy foldables to arrive in late July to early August, so the timeline checks out.
Samsung didn't handle the One UI 7 update very well, as many users were left waiting for the stable update more than half a year after the release of Android 15.
However, the latest report coming from SamMobile suggests Samsung will try to make it right with the next iteration of One UI 8.
Still, it's rather surprising as Samsung usually preloads the current One UI version with an incremental upgrade. So launching the bendies with One UI 8 could mean the software will be available for the Galaxy S25 and S24 series much sooner.
