According to a new report from Korea, Samsung had initially planned to keep the Galaxy S25 series prices the same as last year but ultimately faced rising component costs and unfavorable exchange rates.
Despite Samsung's aim to maintain last year's pricing for the Galaxy S25, increasing expenses related to the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset and currency fluctuations forced them to implement a price hike.
The report mentions that in the Korean market, a slight price increase for the Galaxy S25 models is currently expected, although it remains uncertain whether this will apply globally.
Samsung's strategy appears to encourage customers who might be deterred by the higher prices of the S25 series to consider its more budget-friendly alternatives, such as the A series and Galaxy S24 FE.
