The €1.5 billion penalty against Google, stemming from 2006-2016 anti-competitive behavior regarding AdSense, was recently overturned by the General Court in the EU.
Although the fine was overturned, Google still faces significant penalties from previous rulings, including a €2.42 billion fine related to Google Shopping and a €4.3 billion fine linked to required use of Chrome.
The EU may appeal the decision at the Court of Justice, although no confirmation has been provided yet on whether they will pursue this option.
