Apple stops selling the M4 Mac Mini's 256GB storage model through its online store
""On the Mac mini and the Mac Studio, both of these are amazing platforms for AI and agentic tools, and the customer recognition of that is happening faster than what we had predicted, and so we saw higher than expected demand.""
""It may take several months for Apple to achieve supply-demand balance.""
Apple launched the M4 chip-powered Mac Mini in 2024, with the base model initially featuring 256GB of storage. This model has gone out of stock and is now removed from the website. The new base model offers 512GB of storage for $799, with RAM options of 16GB, 24GB, and 32GB. Upgrades to 1TB or 2TB storage are available. The M4 Pro chip variant allows for up to 64GB RAM and 8TB storage. Tim Cook noted the high demand and supply constraints during the Q2 earnings call.
