AAA games for iPhones and iPads aren't very popular
Briefly

Ubisoft's Assassin's Creed Mirage has more than 123,000 downloads on iOS but only less than 3,000 users paid for the $49 full game. Daily downloads dipped under 3,000, significantly lower than free-to-play games.
For Resident Evil 4 on iOS, only 357,000 downloads with 7,000 paying $29 for the full experience. Resident Evil Village had merely 5,750 paying users, indicating AAA titles struggle on mobile.
Analysts suggest people prefer simpler mobile games due to touch controls and screen limitations on iPhones. AAA titles demand physical controls and bigger screens, creating hurdles for serious gaming on mobile devices.
iPhone 15 Pro and 15 Pro Max, along with iPads with M1 chips, are required for AAA titles, restricting game availability. Some speculate Apple paid for game studios to showcase their hardware.
