'Slow Streets, Fast Friends' mural comes to 20th St. in the Mission
Briefly

"I'm on my knees six to eight hours a day and, now that I'm in my mid-40s, it's not that easy to bear." Rojas reflects on the physical demands of mural painting.
"Putting art directly on the street, that's an exercise in the practice of letting go. I do it because I love the art and I love these streets, and I know that it will give people joy." Rojas speaks to the personal connection he has to his work.
The mural, which depicts a food vendor, aims to honor essential yet often overlooked street workers, showcasing the vibrancy of the Mission's culture and community.
The images in the mural represent joy and community, blending food and art in a way that reflects both Rojas's history and the changing landscape of his neighborhood.
