San Francisco's newest night market is coming to Valencia Street
Briefly

The Mission District is set to host its inaugural night market, named "Valencia LIVE," on May 8, transforming a section of Valencia Street into a lively community celebration. Running from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m., the event features local performers, food vendors, and artisans while aiming to revive foot traffic in the area. The event, proposed by local entrepreneur Manny Yekutiel, is part of a pilot program scheduled monthly until October, with hopes for its continuation based on success.
Starting at 5 p.m. on May 8, and running into the night until 10 p.m., Valencia will be shut down to car traffic between 16th and 19th streets.
"Foot traffic has drastically reduced in recent years," he said. "We need to come up with a way to bring people back."
