Murder charges filed in fatal Concord shooting

A shooting incident in Concord led to the death of 27-year-old Omar Gonzalez when he was shot by Chance Martin, 27, after a dispute in a parking lot. Gunfire erupted around 3 a.m. near the intersection of Monument Boulevard and Reganti Drive, according to the Concord Police Department. Officers arrived to find the victim, identified as Omar Gonzalez, suffering from at least one gunshot wound. Medical personnel pronounced him dead at the scene.
Martin drove away but returned a short time later and opened fire on the group from the window of his car, police said. One of the bullets hit and killed Gonzalez.
