Judge denies motion to ease house arrest of Jon Jacobo, ex-Mission leader accused of sexual assault
Briefly

"The motion is denied to the extent that it asks for relief from home detention and [ankle] monitoring. It’s the seriousness of the charges that’s really driving my decision. There are a number of victims with very serious charges." – Judge Kenneth Wine expresses the gravity of the situation impacting the decision about the home detention conditions for Jacobo.
"This is not a man who wants to go places other than with his family. He is looking for exceptions for work and family," said Martina Avalos, Jacobo's lawyer, attempting to portray him as a devoted family man despite serious allegations.
"I am writing to strongly oppose Mr. Jacobo's request to remove his ankle monitor grant device and end his house arrest, haunted by intense fear of his numerous threats and senseless actions," stated one victim, emphasizing the fear and trauma experienced by those affected by Jacobo.
