A seven-year-old boy managed to survive for five days in a national park infested with lions after wandering away from home, demonstrating remarkable resilience.
ZimParks highlighted that despite the challenging terrain and adverse weather, the child survived by consuming wild fruit and digging for water along a river bank.
The child's miraculous survival was acknowledged by local politician Mutsa Murombedzi, who noted he slept on rocky ledges, amidst the dangers of roaring lions and wandering elephants.
The community's efforts to locate the boy included nightly drum beats, which aimed to guide him home. Ultimately, it was park rangers that discovered his location.
