'You dumb f-k, Bob never touched me': Khazar Momeni testifies in Bob Lee trial
Briefly

My brother was not the one who killed Bob," Khazar Momeni said Thursday, the first day of her multi-day testimony. Khazar's highly anticipated court appearance is key for the jury to understand what happened in the early morning of April 4, 2023, when Lee, whom prosecutors say had some type of romantic relationship with Khazar, was stabbed in the chest, hip and heart in Rincon Hill. Nima Momeni's lawyers have admitted there was an altercation between the two but argued that Lee was aggressive and Momeni "stood his ground" in self-defense.
Aside from your brother, you were the last person to see Bob alive," he said. Momeni is accused of bringing Lee to a secluded area under the Bay Bridge and stabbing him with a "Johnson Johnson" kitchen knife from Khazar's apartment following a long narcotics- and alcohol-fueled evening. Investigators found Lee's DNA on the knife's blade and Momeni's DNA on the handle, but Momeni's lawyers have argued that it also needs to be tested for fingerprints.
Prosecutors have described Momeni as a "wannabe tough guy big brother," accusing him of stabbing Lee out of anger. They allege that the two got into an argument about Khazar. Khazar told prosecutors she was sexually assaulted by Jeremy Boivin, the man accused of selling drugs to Lee, while she was on LSD and GHB (commonly known as the date-rape drug) on the afternoon of April 3. In the hours before Lee's death, Khazar said she also consumed alcohol, cocaine, ketamine and nitrous oxide.
