X makes access to APIs more expensive
Briefly

X has announced changes to its Self Serve X API, increasing monthly fees for the Basic tier from $100 to $200, while maintaining the Pro tier's fee at $5,000.
The Basic tier now allows up to 15,000 reads, an increase from 10,000, but limits top-ups for additional post limits from ten to two, reflecting a tight rein on expansions.
Developers can now choose annual subscriptions for the Basic tier at $2,100 and $54,000 for the Pro tier, introducing discounts and access to more endpoints.
The free tier remains unchanged with 500 posts per month, but now includes a 100-post limit for testing the API, assuring verified services remain unaffected.
