Woman had eight organs removed in cancer treatment

Faye Louise, a woman from Horsham, overcame a diagnosis of pseudomyxoma peritonei and returned to her job as a flight dispatcher after extensive surgery to remove eight organs.
After hearing the diagnosis, Faye initially prepared for the worst. "If they told me I was going to die, I was going to plan my funeral," she said, reflecting on her mindset during treatment.
"To have been told there is no evidence of disease, it was the greatest Christmas gift that I could have got," Faye expressed, highlighting the significance of her health milestone.
Despite the physical demands of her job at Gatwick Airport, Faye stated, "I love aviation and I'm happy that I'm back in the role," emphasizing her passion for work post-recovery.
