Ferguson said he would "end Big Tech's vendetta against competition and free speech" and ensure America remains a leader in technological innovation.
"I think he'll certainly bring the heat on Big Tech but will likely be more targeted in his approach than Chair Khan," said lawyer Joel Thayer.
Ferguson criticized recent Big Tech censorship, highlighting how it curtailed discussions on issues like the COVID-19 pandemic and Biden's laptop.
He warned organizations such as GARM and NewsGuard could be violating the Sherman Antitrust Act due to their role in controlling advertising funds.
