WhatsApp is introducing custom categories called Lists, allowing users to organize chats by naming them and designating specific one-on-one or group conversations for easy access.
The new Lists feature will appear at the top of users' inboxes, enhancing the functionality of existing filters like "All," "Unread," and "Groups".
To create a list, simply tap the '+' icon in the filter bar, name your list, and select conversations to include. Users can create multiple lists.
The rollout of Lists has begun for Android users, with WhatsApp assuring that the feature will soon be available to all users in the coming weeks.
