A man in his mid-60s was found dead at a domestic residence outside Ardara after emergency services were alerted shortly before 4am. Gardaí believe the victim suffered fatal stab injuries, with a post-mortem examination yet to be carried out. A man in his 30s, reportedly known to the deceased, was arrested at a different location and is detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984. The scene is preserved for technical examination and the State Pathologist has been notified. A Senior Investigating Officer and a Family Liaison Officer have been appointed, and an incident room is established at Ballyshannon Garda Station.
