Weak disturbance' in Bay Area weather pattern to end stretch of sunny days, very cold nights
Briefly

According to NWS meteorologist Karleisa Rogacheski, a weak disturbance is expected late Thursday into early Friday, followed by a strong system bringing significant rainfall.
The expected rain will be heaviest in the North Bay, with the East Bay potentially receiving half an inch and the South Bay around a quarter-inch.
After a period of stagnant weather, an onshore flow will clear the air somewhat, with no air quality alert in place Monday, though fluctuations in air quality are still expected.
The changes in the weather pattern not only bring the prospect of rain but also signal an end to the recent frigid overnight temperatures in the Bay Area.
