We need people to recognise the urgency': Peterborough Cathedral faces financial ruin
Briefly

Dalliston, the cathedral's dean, emphasized, "Our cashflow is critical. If our appeal is unsuccessful, we may have to shut our doors several days a week."
"It is one of the great Norman buildings of England. It has survived all kinds of trials and tribulations...There has been a place of worship on this site since the seventh century," Dalliston remarked.
"Now it costs over £2m a year - almost £6,000 a day - to run the cathedral. About 15% of this comes from the Church of England," explained Dalliston.
Dalliston remarked on the financial challenges, stating, "We’ve had to sell or rent assets, and the costs of maintaining this Grade I-listed masterpiece have soared."
