After nearly 20 years in the DC metro area, we realized we couldn't afford a home there. After evaluating our options, we decided to return to Pittsburgh, where buying a house is more feasible.
Although we enjoyed our time in DC, the high cost of living made it challenging to save for a down payment. We often spent a minimum of $100 just for a night out.
Pittsburgh is known for its affordability compared to places like DC. After moving back, we discovered that not only was housing within our budget, but we were also able to save while house hunting.
Moving back to Pittsburgh allowed us to reconnect with our roots and enjoy a more sustainable lifestyle. The contrast in living costs was significant and very beneficial for us.
