Dan Pfeiffer, co-host of Pod Save America, argues that Democrats should not shy away from conservative media, following Tommy Vietor's recent appearance on Fox News. He believes this strategy is essential for capturing a wider audience and generating more attention. Criticizing Joe Biden's pardon decisions, Vietor also highlights the controversial use of presidential pardon power, advocating for a constitutional amendment to limit it. Pfeiffer emphasizes the need for Democrats to navigate uncomfortable media spaces to maximize their message's impact.
I have been a long-time opponent of Democrats other than the most talented of Democrats, which I would include Tommy in, going on Fox News.
If Tommy had just gone on pick your MSNBC show, it wouldn't have gotten any currency outside of the people who happen to be watching at that moment.
I think Joe Biden's decision to pardon his family sends a terrible message to the world. I think the presidential pardon power is far too expansive.
I would love to see Congress come together and pass a constitutional amendment that says you cannot pardon yourself, you can't pardon your family, you can't pardon your staff.
