Last Friday, a surveillance video captured a frightening moment when a piece of rigging equipment came dangerously close to hitting commuters as they entered South Station.
The incident involved a metal scaffolding plank that fell from One Financial Center, a 46-story skyscraper, narrowly missing pedestrians in a busy area.
No injuries were reported, but the incident has prompted investigations by city inspectors and the federal Occupational Safety and Health Administration.
In response to the incident, the contractor has removed all scaffolding plants from the building, while OSHA continues to investigate the circumstances.
