Drone strikes forced parts of the Moscow region into a total blackout affecting more than 600,000 residents and leaving many without heating. Mobile networks failed across affected areas after a drone-threat alert, producing widespread isolation. Rosseti Moscow Region specialists restored power to about 70% of consumers in the south-east following the outage. Rosseti attributed the outage to an automatic shutdown at a 110 kV substation and reported damage to high-voltage equipment consistent with a short circuit. Additional backup power sources were dispatched to support restoration. The outage follows a pattern of strikes on electricity infrastructure amid the wider conflict.
