Two-Legged Robots Are Getting Better at Running
Briefly

Unitree recently showcased their advanced two-legged robot, the G1, in a video demonstrating its ability to navigate various terrains and keep pace with a human jogger. While impressive, these performances come with caveats, including unclarities about timelines for tasks shown in the video. Notably, the robots are equipped with LIDAR and depth-sensing cameras but are also accompanied by warnings advising users to maintain a safe distance from the robot due to its complexity and power. Priced at $16,000, the G1 highlights the evolving intersection of robotics and everyday activities.
Late last month, robotics company Unitree provided an update on their engineering in the form of a short video showcasing their two-legged robots sauntering down a boardwalk.
Unitree also added some disclaimers to the tech specifications cautioning prospective users about running afoul of its robots.
