The latest Joint National Listenership Research reveals that several flagship radio shows in Ireland have experienced notable increases in listenership. Oliver Callan's 9am show saw a rise of 11,000 listeners, bringing his total to 349,000, while Brendan O'Connor's weekend shows have also reported massive growth. The popularity of talk radio is surging, especially in light of major news events like the General Election, highlighting listeners' interest in current affairs. RTÉ officials noted that it was a strong performance across the board for the station's broadcasts.
