Letters are being sent to individuals who have submitted property tax returns yet failed to establish a payment method for the upcoming year's Local Property Tax (LPT). This outreach aims to encourage timely arrangements before the January deadline for 2025 payments.
Revenue stressed the importance of informing them by December 2 if property owners wish to spread out their LPT payments monthly. Those preferring a lump-sum payment by January 10 also need to notify Revenue of their decision.
Homeowners who utilized a recurring payment system for their 2024 LPT do not need to take further action, as those methods will automatically apply to their 2025 liability.
For those property owners who paid last year's LPT through cheque, debit, or credit card, or other service providers like An Post, it's crucial to set up a new payment arrangement since these methods do not qualify as recurring payments.
