Timothy Hughes, vice-president of corporate development at Agoda, emphasized that this move is expected to further solidify Thailand's reputation as an inclusive holiday option for LGBTQIA+ travelers.
This landmark decision will create 152,000 full-time jobs and contribute to a 0.3% increase in the nation's GDP, showcasing the economic benefits of inclusivity.
With the legislation amending Thailand's Civil and Commercial Code, LGBTQ+ couples will gain equal access to rights such as adoption and marital tax savings.
