Saturday Night Live (SNL) will celebrate its 50th anniversary with an influx of documentaries, articles, and interviews. To commemorate this milestone, outreach was made to 206 former and current cast members and writers, gathering insights on their experiences and the show's legacy. Sixty-five contributed their thoughts, providing a rich, varied perspective on what SNL means to them and its influence over the past five decades. The project highlights not only the show’s impact on comedy but also on popular culture, reflecting a unique collaborative history.
"For decades, every new season, every new episode, and every new sketch has been the subject of microscopic scrutiny, including fans obsessively counting the seconds each cast member appears onscreen."
"Participants were not obligated to answer every question, and many provided multiple responses to questions that asked for just one."
