Located at the Barbican Library, the I'm Not Okay (An Emo Retrospective) exhibition head-bangs its way through the foundational years of the emo scene, when eyeliner ruled supreme, so did our feelings, and "rawr" meant 'I love you'.
The exhibit feels like stepping into the bedroom of your teenage self - only with a lot less mess and clutter. There's plenty for die-hard fans to uncover.
I'm Not Okay even explores fan culture in-depth, including the DIY zines and fan art that were key to the scene's identity.
Among the highlights of the exhibition are posters from the bands previously mentioned, including MCR's Black Parade era and Paramore's early years.
