"I was in Hong Kong on June 4, 1989, when, of course, Tiananmen Square happened," Gov. Tim Walz claimed in June 2019, but he was actually in Nebraska. This falsehood has bizarrely persisted in his statements over the years, revealing a troubling detachment from historical accuracy. When confronted about this claim, he simply admitted, "I'm a knucklehead at times," failing to grasp the seriousness of misrepresenting such a significant event.
Former US Attorney General Eric Holder stated, "[The Trump administration] will use the mechanisms of the DOJ to go after people who are their political foes. This is something that has never really happened in the history of this republic." It's a puzzling assertion considering the apparent obsession of the current administration with targeting former President Trump, which raises concerns about political motivations behind law enforcement actions.
