Galic's experience demonstrates the powerful juxtaposition of nature and human life, particularly how the rising smoke and setting sun contributed to a magical photographic backdrop.
Despite the challenges of equipment, Galic achieved stunning photographs with his smartphone, highlighting the vibrant colors of the South Sudanese skies and his pride in the outcome.
His future plan includes returning to South Sudan to reconnect with the subjects of his photographs and support them by donating part of his award prize.
