No more banned photos, Dirty Kermits, spaghetti sundaes, or $1,000-dollar kiss-the-chef options on the menu: The short-lived high-drama Frog Club announced it is apparently closing this week.
In the video announcing the closing, Johnson is sitting by a roaring fire hugging an enormous stuffed frog. She says, 'To my fellow New Yorkers: I'm here today to talk to you about the future of Frog Club.'
Frog Club, originally Froggy's, was supposed to be a collaboration between the two chefs, who, in 2001, opened Horses, the celebrated and later highly controversial Los Angeles restaurant.
Prior to the restaurant's opening Johnson posted a 12-minute video that spoofs Great Chefs, a PBS cooking show that started in the '80s.
