"We were on a roll," says Dexter, describing how creativity flowed more easily this time around - even as they recorded in the three cities of Maui, Vancouver, and Huntington Beach. "After we finally got Let the Bad Times Roll out, we just felt like, 'Let's keep this going.' It wasn't the same slow burn like last time."
Noodles agrees, noting how the pandemic actually gave them space to continue writing without the pressure of a touring schedule. "When the shows were taken away, we were able to spend time getting in the studio and really locking in on all our songs," he says.
Dexter agrees while reflecting on the band's continuation. "Right now, we're having so much fun with the band, and I'm just excited to get this record out," he says, grinning. "This isn't just a means to get back on tour - this is a serious album for us."
Dexter speaks enthusiastically about their recent performance with Brian May of Queen. "It was a little intimidating," he admits. "I mean, it's Brian May! But once we started talking..."
