I called her, and she answered the phone, and she said, 'Which one is it?' And I said, 'It's breast cancer.' And she said, 'I effing knew it.' She's salty. Salty language that one. I love her for it.
After completing surgery, chemotherapy and radiation I am now cancer free. I'm happy to say I'm feeling great.
I lost my hair during chemotherapy but thanks to some great wigs and hats with hair (which my family affectionately called Wigats) I have been able to wait until now to reveal all that has been going on for me.
The aggressive nature of my cancer required chemotherapy and radiation, but luckily the doctors caught it early, and the tumor hadn't spread.
