The author began their programming journey a year ago, motivated by the desire for change from a monotonous job. After consulting a programmer friend, they discovered that their existing skills could be beneficial for learning to code. They explored resources, with a focus on avoiding expensive bootcamps that offered little value. Instead, they opted for Udemy courses, committing one or two hours daily to learning, which they believe will lead to successful skill development for future projects and entrepreneurship.
I figured I might not be able to pull three hours a day of learning, but I am sure I can do one or two hours a day for a longer period than a bootcamp would last.
After asking my friend a couple of questions and comparing them with the skills I already have, we both concluded that learning programming shouldn't be so difficult for me.
