The Global Liveability Index 2024 by the EIU ranks cities based on 30 factors assessing stability, healthcare, culture, education, and infrastructure, highlighting global urban living quality.
For the third consecutive year, Vienna has topped the Global Liveability Index, with Copenhagen, Zurich, and Geneva following, attributed to smaller populations that contribute to lower crime rates.
The assessment revealed that stability has experienced a notable decline due to increased protests and armed conflicts, affecting cities' overall liveability scores globally.
Despite a slight increase in global average liveability scores, disparities persist, driven by regional economic and social challenges, alongside a worsening housing crisis in some areas.
