The Grand Egyptian Museum has revealed itself in phases, starting with private events in November 2022, and opening its main galleries for a trial run on October 16.
Billed as the world's largest archaeological museum dedicated to a single civilization, the Grand Egyptian Museum holds more than 50,000 artifacts, including the full Tutankhamun collection.
The over 30-foot high, 82-ton Ramses II statue was the first piece moved to the Grand Egyptian Museum site back in 2006 and greets visitors at the entrance.
