The pub, which closed at the beginning of July for refurbishment, was originally meant to reopen on July 30 - but this reopening was pushed back by almost three months.
The refurbishment works include a full redecoration, an increased customer area, as well as "major" structural changes. These structural works have resolved "a number of persistent leaks" that had previously caused temporary closures.
A rebuilt and redesigned roof terrace, with increased cover for the winter months is also part of the revamp, expected to be open before Christmas, with a date set for December 16.
The Moon and Stars - which had a 1.3 million refurb in 2019 - opened in 1994 in a premises formerly occupied by Bonbon Ladies' Fashions.
