Set nearly 30 years after the initial outbreak, 28 Years Later introduces a new group of survivors on an isolated island, showcasing their attempts to find safety.

The mainland is transformed into a terrifying place, where new mutations of the infected exist, and the human survivors present a more ghoulish image than the infected themselves.
