A Tennessee sheriff's deputy has been charged with several counts of animal cruelty and reckless endangerment after fatally shooting seven dogs he was sent to check on.
Reports indicate that Connor Brackin, aged 24, fired his weapon and killed seven dogs under circumstances yet to be disclosed, prompting a TBI investigation.
Brackin has been accused of aggravated cruelty to animals, which may result in a prison sentence of up to six years, alongside charges of reckless endangerment.
Following the incident, he resigned from his position after only a month of service in the sheriff's office and subsequently turned himself into authorities.
