Temperatures to plunge in new year as Met Eireann extends weather warnings to more counties

Forecasters have issued a Status Yellow rain warning for Donegal, effective from 11am today until 11am tomorrow, predicting possible localised flooding and poor visibility.
Another Status Yellow rain warning has been placed for Cork and Kerry from 6am tomorrow until 6am Wednesday due to persistent rain, which might cause hazardous travelling conditions.
Mark Bowe of Met Éireann stated that New Year's Eve and New Year's Day are expected to be 'very windy, blustery and wet,' indicating a challenging weather forecast.
