Police were alerted to an incident involving a 19-year-old who was found unconscious in Waterfoot, believed to have stemmed from an argument in a local bar.
The investigation, led by Detective Chief Inspector Neil McGuinness, is in the early stages and seeks information from witnesses in the Main Street area.
