Tabnine launches its code review agent | TechCrunch
Briefly

"Many companies - and the developers they employ - aren't even aware of the rules and best practices in their own documentation," said Tabnine President and CMO Peter Guagenti, emphasizing how the new code review agent aims to solve this issue by passively monitoring code and providing timely feedback.
"Database companies are a great example of this," he explained. "Each one has its own pattern, and when it has a bad outcome, they blame the product, not the code... AI has the potential to correct behavior and enhance product success."
The Tabnine review agent will passively review code while the developer works in the IDE, flagging issues and offering fixes as it identifies them, presenting itself as an ever-vigilant coding companion.
Guagenti asserted that while platforms like GitHub's Copilot have significant brand awareness, Tabnine is not concerned with competition but instead focused on tailoring solutions to specific organizational needs.
