Supporters of Queensland woman allegedly set on fire pack court after man charged with attempted murder
Briefly

Family and friends filled a Queensland courtroom for the hearing of Renata Edward Manning, charged with attempting to murder Destiny Otton-Rakuraku by setting her on fire.
Manning is accused of pulling out a lighter during an altercation and igniting Otton-Rakuraku, who was then treated on site before being hospitalized in serious condition.
Defence solicitor Jacilynn Young requested an adjournment of five weeks for a legal aid application and for prosecutors to provide evidence to the defence.
An online fundraiser for Otton-Rakuraku's medical expenses quickly raised over $24,000 within 24 hours of its launch, showcasing community support during the crisis.
