Stress and uncertainty at Head Start and clinics as federal health funding system sputters
Briefly

Central Virginia Health Services has faced unprecedented delays in receiving federal funds from the Department of Health and Human Services, affecting operations of its 20 community health centers. These organizations, which typically quickly access grant funding, are facing uncertainty due to a freeze ordered by the Trump administration. While they currently have reserves to make payroll, the situation risks future operations, prompting cautious measures such as limiting travel and reducing supplies. Despite these issues, patient care has not yet been disrupted significantly.

We've been doing this for over 50 years... and we've never had this issue. We're really uncertain as to exactly what that means.
