Strainlabs Pilots Predictive Maintenance Technology on the Oresund Bridge
Briefly

"We aim for the most data-driven and smart maintenance possible. This pilot is an exciting step toward more AI and machine learning-driven routines. The bridge is designed to last 200 years, and we want to ensure that we are already looking ahead," Andreas Jälmarstål, technical manager at Öresundsbron, explained.
"This collaboration with Öresundsbron is a significant move from theory to practice. Their forward-thinking approach and openness to innovation make this pilot an exciting first step," commented Csaba Madru, CEO of Strainlabs.
The pilot will focus on monitoring the particle magnets that prevent iron dust from interfering with track operations. Without this system, physical inspections are resource-intensive, and loosening bolts can cause severe operational issues.
Strainlabs' solution not only tracks the condition of the magnets but also analyzes how preload changes over time, enabling proactive maintenance. By automating the monitoring process, the project allows for better maintenance planning.
