Storm Eowyn: new Status Yellow fog warning issued for 15 counties ahead of 'damaging gusts' in coming days

A weather warning has been issued for several counties in Ireland, effective from 10pm Tuesday to 10am Wednesday, due to dense fog and the impending arrival of Storm Éowyn. This storm, forecasted for Thursday and Friday, is expected to bring very strong winds and potential disruptions. Following fog conditions on Tuesday morning, the weather is expected to improve temporarily with sunny spells, but will transition into rain by Thursday. Temperatures will vary between 4 to 9 degrees during this period, with cold and frosty nights in between.
The warning will come into effect from 10pm on Tuesday night and remain in place until 10am on Wednesday morning, impacting several counties.
Met Éireann has issued an advisory ahead of the arrival of Storm Éowyn, with strong winds expected across the country.
Once fog clears on Tuesday morning, much of the country will be dry with sunny spells, though rain and drizzle will occur in the south and east.
Wednesday will start with lingering fog in some areas, but will largely be sunny with scattered showers and cool temperatures.
