Despite significant progress restoring power to 428,000 customers affected by Storm Éowyn, approximately 340,000 remain without service. With adverse weather expected, recovery efforts are further challenged. Storm Herminia is not expected to impact Ireland significantly, but localised yellow wind and rain warnings remain in place, especially in areas already affected by Storm Éowyn. The National Emergency Co-ordination Group is coordinating aid to the hardest hit regions, as additional weather warnings complicate restoration efforts.
ESB has restored power to 428,000 customers who were affected by the storm. However, approximately 340,000 homes, farms and businesses still remain without power.
Due to strong and gusty winds, yellow wind warnings were issued for Munster until 12pm today and for Carlow, Dublin, Kilkenny, Wexford, Wicklow and Galway until 3pm today.
