Status Yellow rain warning to come into effect for Cork and Kerry as temperatures could hit highs of 21C

A weather warning has been issued for potential spot flooding and difficult travel, effective until 10am tomorrow. Rain is expected to spread across Munster, Leinster, and Connacht, with temperatures ranging from 16 to 21 degrees today. Overnight lows will be between 11 and 15 degrees as rain continues. Unsettled weather will persist, with heavy rain expected tomorrow and drier conditions forming in the south. The following days will feature showers and some sunshine, maintaining temperatures from 15 to 20 degrees throughout the week.
The warning, which could lead to spot flooding, poor visibility and difficult travel conditions, will come into effect at 10am and remain in place until 10am tomorrow morning.
Highest temperatures of 16 to 21 degrees are expected despite the rain expected to spread slowly over Munster today, reaching south Leinster and south Connacht by early evening.
Met Éireann expects "unsettled" conditions will continue into the coming days with rain or showers at times and temperatures "mostly in the high teens."
The rest of the week will have a "fair amount of dry weather, but some rain or showers at times also" as temperatures range between 17 to 20 degrees.
