Two fugitives, British Mark Cameron Roscaleer and Argentine Rodolfo Jose Lohrmann, have been recaptured in Spain after escaping from a high-security prison in Portugal seven months prior. Police discovered them working with local drug dealers after threats were reported against a victim. They were found with a significant amount of cash, firearms, and fake documents, raising concerns about other crimes in Spain. The escape occurred through a coordinated effort involving climbing a ladder during visiting hours, revealing the fugitives' violent histories and criminal networks.
We didn't think they would be together, said judicial police chief Luis Nevez.
We found them with 50,000 ($51,670) in cash alongside firearms and false documents.
