South east London chippy applies to sell booze late into the night

Jack the Chipper in Southwark has applied for a new premises license to extend its alcohol service hours, aiming to serve customers late into the night.
The new application proposes to sell alcohol from Sundays to Thursdays until 11.30pm and until 1am on Fridays and Saturdays, with late-night refreshments until 12.30am.
According to the Licensing Act 2003, the four licensing objectives are: prevention of crime and disorder, public safety, prevention of public nuisance, and protection of children from harm.
Any interested parties can make representations regarding the potential impacts of the new license within 28 days of the January 5 application date.
